World Series of Boxing - The city of Beijing in China today became the second of the 12 World Series of Boxing franchisees to launch its team name and team logo. The Beijing Dragons will be competing in the WSB Asian conference against teams from Baku, Astana and Delhi from November 2010.

The Beijing Dragons' Deputy General Manager Yuan Zhihong, explained the thoughts behind the creation of the logo. "The logo represents the traditional Chinese symbol of the dragon, which is vigorous, dignified, and courageous. The dragon represents the essence of 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture. The main color of the logo is the familiar red of the Chinese flag, which makes the colors in the logo even more striking.

The powerful fist of boxing and the illustrious Chinese dragon combined highlight the two main characteristics of boxing: spirit and strength. Thus the rivalry and harmony, spirit and body, reason and passion are all combined as one."
