Ibragimov stops Singh -- WBA #12 rated heavyweight Timur Ibragimov (29-2-1, 16 KOs) scored a tenth round KO over previously unbeaten former two-time Olympian Gurcharan Singh (20-1, 11 KOs) on Tuesday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. In the co-feature, unbeaten welterweight Brad “The King” Solomon (13-0, 4 KOs) stopped veteran Wilfredo “Papin” Negron (26-15-1, 19 KOs) in round six for the WBA International and WBC Latino welterweighttitles.

Bernard Hopkins-- 45-year-old Bernard Hopkins (51-5-1, 32 KO’s) is interested in fighting WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (26-1, 16 KO’s), in the latest boxing news. Pascal, 27, previously mentioned Hopkins’ name as one of the fighters that he would be interested in fighting next before he takes on Chad Dawson in a rematch next year. Pascal defeated Dawson by an 11 round technical decision on August 14th, and is looking to get an opponent with a big name for his next fight.

Edner Cherry-- Boxing Scene has quoted several sources as saying that lightweight contender Edner Cherry (27-6, 15KOs) has withdrawn from his upcoming fight with Omri Lowther (14-1, 10KOs), which scheduled for August 28 at the Metropolis in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Cherry-Lowther was the planned main event for ESPN2's broadcast of Friday Night Fights. According to reliable sources, Cherry was simply pulled from the fight, but the exact reason for the withdrawal has not been confirmed. A late replacement is being sought.

UFC President – Dana White In an interview with Fighthype.com, gave his opinion on why Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn’t seem to want a fight against Manny Pacquiao, according to White Mayweather would be in difficulty against the Filipino star because of his fast hand speed and power.

“Pacquiao is so dangerous because he’s so fast, he hits hard too and he throws his best punches while he’s getting hit. I think it’s a very dangerous fight for Floyd Mayweather Jr. and I think Floyd knows that and I don’t think Floyd is too crazy about this fight” said White.

David Haye Via Twitter -- World Boxing Association heavyweight champion David Haye (24-1, 22 KO’s) has cast doubt over the strong rumors that he and Audley Harrison practically signed to square off in an all British heavyweight showdown. He posted on his twitter “Shut the Fcuk up Fraudley. If some how we ever do fight, that career high pay day you crave won’t cover your medical bills! Pipe down…..”.

Andy Lee Vs Michael Walker  -- 8 Count Productions has announced that their September 17th at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago will feature WBA #10 middleweight Andy Lee (22-1, 16 KOs) against local favorite Michael Walker (19-4-2, 12 KOs) in a ten-rounder. The co-main event will feature junior middleweight Luciano “EL Michoacano” Perez (17-10-1, 15 KOs) taking on undefeated Russian newcomer Anton “The Pick Hammer” Novikov (16-0, 6 KOs) in a scheduled eight round tilt. In a special attraction six round bout, undefeated welterweight prospects Aslanbek Kozaev (11-0, 4 KOs) and Marcus Thompkins (5-0-1, 2 KOs) collide.

Juan Carlos Salgado Vs Daniel Jimenez  -- Former world champion Juan Carlos Salgado (22-1-1, 16 KOs) of Mexico will meet Daniel Jimenez (19-3-1, 11 KOs) of Puerto Rico in a scheduled twelve round IBO super featherweight world title bout. The bout will be the co-feature of a Mexican Independence Day card at the Hilton in Las Vegas September 15. The main event will feature former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (45-7, 39 KOs), of Mexico taking on Australian Jackson Asiku (26-3, 14 KOs) for the IBO featherweight title.
