The International Boxing Association (AIBA) today signed the host city agreement for the 2011 Women's Youth and Junior World Championships, which will be held in Antalya from April 28 - May 8 this year.

The signing ceremony was attended by AIBA President C. K. Wu and Turkey's Minister of State with responsibility for Sport, Mr Faruk Özak at the Wow Hotel in Istanbul.The agreement to host the championship was signed today by Mr Faruk Özak, Minister of State with responsibility for Sport and AIBA President Wu at a press conference attended by Mr. Hakan Tütüncü, Mayor of Kepez (the event will be held at the Kepez Sports Hall), Mr. Yunus Akgül, from the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, Turkey, Mr. Saadettin Saran, owner of the Istanbulls World Series of Boxing team, Mr. Togay Bayatli,  President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee and Mr. Eyüp Gözgec, President of the Turkish Boxing Federation.The south-coast town of Antalya in Turkey was selected to host the event at last year's AIBA Congress in Almaty, Kazakhstan, as one of three major AIBA events in 2011. The other two events are the Junior World Championships, which will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from July 20-31 and the Men's Elite World Championships, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from September 22 - October 10 and will be the first qualifying event for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
