According to WBAN - Crystal Hoy, of Las Vegas,  is set to be very busy in the next couple of months when she first takes on a fight on September 3, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada, when she fights Mandy La Pointe, at the Rio Hotel and Casino. This is a "return to the ring" fight for La Pointe who has been absent from the ring for eight years! The two will be fighting each other at 126 pounds, in a four rounder.

Hoy will then fight on Saturday, October 16, 2010, against Arizona's Allison Cole in a featherweight matchup on a Roy Englebrecht Promotions pro boxing show at the Silverton Casino & Lodge in Las Vegas.

Nava Wins by TKO  On Saturday night (Aug 21) in Tijuana, Mexico, Jackie Nava,120, TKO'd Maria Andrea Miranda, 120, in the fourth round of a scheduled 10 round bout. The two were fighting for the interim WBC Junior Feather belt.

On the 25 of August - Current WIBA and IFBA flyweight champion, Carina "La Reina" Moreno, was invited to speak at the Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall last week. Moreno touched on the importance of education and hard work.

"When ever I have a platform to speak to kids I have to take advantage of the opportunity," said Moreno "These kids come from broken homes and need a push in a positive direction. If I can get through to at least one of kid, and uplift him with some words of wisdom, then its all worth it."

According to WBAN Angel Gladney, who trains out of the White Rock boxing gym is going to fight for the World Title on pay per view. Gladney is going to be included on the undercard of Sugar Shane Mosley - Sergio Mora main event.

Women’s Olympic Boxing - Just over a year after the IOC decision to add women’s boxing to the 2012 Olympic Games, the world’s top female boxers will convene in Bridgetown, Barbados for the 2010 AIBA Women’s World Championships. The 2010 event, which will be contested September 9-18, will be the sixth edition of the competition and the first since the IOC announcement. The United States hosted the first Women’s World Championships.
